Volleyball Camp

We Play for SRK Volleyball Camp 2019

The camp is focused on the development of basic skills of the game of volleyball. Camp directors and staff will focus on teaching and improving basic skills and having campers utilize those skills through drills and/or team play. Campers will be placed with groups of similar ability and age level.

Dates
The camp will be held July 8-11, 2019

Location
The camp will be held at Williamsport High School, 5 South Clifton Drive, Williamsport, MD

Campers
The camp is offered to all girls in grades 3 - 8 (grade as of 9/1/19). Campers from all area schools are encouraged to attend, not just those in the Williamsport school system.


Sessions
Grades 3-6 Session: 8:30 am - 11:30 am
Grades 7-8 Session: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Cost
Registration before July 1, 2019 - $100 per camper
Registration on/after July 1, 2019 - $120 per camper
Deposit - $35 non-refundable deposit is required for each registration. If only paying the deposit the remaining balance is due on the first day of camper's session

Requirement
Each camper is required to provide her own insurance that would cover any accidents which might occur during the course of the camp.

What to Bring
Each camper will need athletic-type clothing, appropriate footwear and may choose to wear knee pads

Camp Directors

Becky Fletcher - Becky enters her ninth year as the Head Volleyball Coach at Frostburg State University in the fall of 2019. She has guided the Bobcats to a total of 85 wins to go along with four CAC Tournament appearances, while Frostburg served as the host and No. 1 seed of the 2017 ECAC Tournament. FSU has placed six players on the All-CAC teams under Fletcher’s tutelage. In 2009 Becky was honored by the AVCA as one of the thirty up-and-coming coaches under the age of 30 years old in the sport of volleyball at all collegiate levels. Fletcher graduated in 2006 from Washington & Jefferson College where she was a three-time all-conference selection and conference Freshman of the Year in 2002.

Emily Crabtree - Emily is the Athletic Director at Williamsport High School after having previously been the Varsity Volleyball Coach there since the 1990s. Her Williamsport High School volleyball teams won five Maryland State Championships: 1995, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2012. She has been involved with volleyball in the local area for more than 20 years and players from her teams have gone on to play volleyball in college at all levels, from junior college to Division I.

Lea Michael - Lea is the Director of the Springfield Middle School Volleyball League. Lea has been active with the Springfield Middle School Volleyball League for 15 years and is a committee member of the Washington County Middle School Volleyball League. She has been involved with volleyball in the local area since her playing days at Williamsport High School (1995 State Champion) and Frostburg State University.

Karen Moyer - Karen is a 1996 Williamsport High School graduate and was a setter on the 1995 State Championship Team under Coach Emily Crabtree. She was Williamsport High School's JV volleyball coach from 2007-2015. Karen took over as Williamsport's Head Coach in 2016 when Emily Crabtree became the school's Athletic Director. Karen won Williamsport High School's 14th state title in her first year leading the Wildcats (2016). Karen is a Social Worker at Antietam Academy.
