Scholarships : The Samantha Kelly Memorial Fund

The Samantha Kelly Memorial Scholarship is given to honor the memory of Samantha Kelly. The scholarship is $1,000 per year for a total of four years if all criteria are met.

Required Applicant Qualifications:

Female graduate of Williamsport High School, Williamsport, MD
Must plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college
Must have played a varsity sport at Williamsport High School
Must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
May not have been granted a full scholarship to college for athletics or academics

Candidates should submit a completed application to the Scholarship Committee and, if selected in the first round, will participate in an interview with the committee. If awarded a scholarship the awardee may apply to renew the scholarship for the subsequent three academic years. Scholarship renewals must meet the following criteria:

The awardee must submit a completed renewal application each spring.
The awardee must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 while in college.

The following items must be included with a candidate's application:

Copy of the candidate's high school transcript
A one-page essay written by the candidate describing an event or person that has shaped their life or influenced them to be the person they are and hope to become
Two Character and Leadership Assessment Forms completed by someone other than a relative or guidance counselor
Copy of college acceptance letter

Your completed application must be submitted by April 15, 2024
